Subject: Garcia, Florida Submitted by Robin Orr (ip 66.56.235.187) Date Fished: 2/7/2007Water Temperature: 61Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Two of us fished Garcia from 4-9February, we wanted to fish the stick marsh too, but the winds, water clarity and the fact that there was no water movement through the spill ways kept us from doing that. Fishing was good at Garcia. Caught 8-10 per day to 18-20 by Friday. Most in the 3-5 lb. range with a couple at 6-7. Used live shiners, zoom frogs, and white zoom flukes. We stayed at Stickmarsh bait&tackle for the week. Pete and Tina were the most wonderful, helpful, and accomidating hosts one could ask for. And some of the locals hanging aroud the shop offered a wealth of knowledge on fishing and the area. If you`re planning a trip to the stickmarsh, I highly reccommend booking through stickmarsh bait&tackle, they have a room that sleeps 4, and there are 2 great restaurants in Fellsmere. Nice report From: Keith (68.207.111.189), Florida Sounds like you caught some good fish there. Hopefully the 6-7lbers are still swimming around in there? I saw a group of guys when I was fishing the tournament there recently keep what they said where several 5's up to 7lbs. All caught on shiners and crankbaits. I reminded him that we are only allowed 1 fish a piece over 22". Thank you so much!!!! From: Tina Heinz (205.188.116.134), Florida Robin thank you so much for the great report it was my pleasure to meet you and hope to see you again here fishin soon !!!! Best fishin Wishes Tina
